Simulate This?

Clouds in the Platte River Valley. That would be an interesting simulation study. Are the Rockies normally above the clouds? Is the ridge I live on higher as well? I hate to say this, but you don't have to simulate everything to get answers. Sometimes common sense works. Sometimes simple observation is adequate. In this case, I have seen this a few times after intense storms the previous night, but for the most part we do not live above the clouds, yet.
